This tip is not to scare about the safety or crime issues, but rather a matter of money. In general, Bandung is a relatively safe city. However, most taxis in here did not use argometer ! They used a bargaining / negotiation early in the trip. If you do not know the price is right for a distance that may be taken, you might hit a taxi costs are too high and undeserved.
Really is not that easy to find a taxi on any street in Bandung. Only in certain streets and certain places we could find a taxi. Generally, near shopping malls or large shopping center or five-star hotel, train station, or airport taxis are to be found.
However, as mentioned earlier most of these do not use taxi argometer alias is not enabled. Only certain taxis that use the meter to standard, so that passengers will get the right price and not have to bother haggling before.

The roads in Bandung are generally not too wide. Public transport more reliable is Angkot (Angkutan Kota) just small car for 8-10 passengers, but not big bus. The fare of Angkot is cheap range between 2000-4000 rupiahs.
