Situ Patenggang is a natural lake located in the most northern region Ciwidey --another small city at south of Bandung. The location is still included in the tea plantation area Ranca Bali. So that, in around the lake we can enjoy the green expanse of tea plantations and cool fresh tube. There is a fascination with its own view of the lake expanse of blue water that spread wide, in the middle of this mountain Ciwidey.
It is about 47 Km from the city of Bandung. On the edge of the lake there are many boats that can be rented to tourists around the lake. To rent a boat around the lake should you do first a bargain price. Usually offered price ranges from Rp 10,000 - Rp. 15,000 / person (similar 2 USD).
With this boat, visitors are taken around the lake and stop in the middle of the island where there is a big love stone. According to a legend it is said the island become meeting place for a couple lover that have long separated. Patenggang / patengan in Sundanese language means to find each other.
If you want to visit this place should depart from early morning so you can arrive at noon. Because if left late, and you arrive in the afternoon the fog had come down normally. The fog is dense in Situ Patenggang so the visibilility be only 1-2 meter so we can't see anything fine scenery.
